Geelong coach Chris Scott saluted the resilience of his players as they fought out a 13-point win over the Western Bulldogs on Friday night.
The Cats are priced at 13/10 to make the top four of the AFL this season and that is where they currently sit after picking up their eighth win from 12 games.
Jeremy Cameron was the star of the show when booting six goals in the win. It took him past the 500 career goals mark and proved to be the difference as Geelong edged out the win.
But coach Scott praised his entire team for getting the job done against a Bulldogs side that pushed them all the way. Geelong have been missing key players at times this season but have still managed to claim fourth spot on the ladder.

"It was a really good win against a very good opposition who outplayed us for big parts of the night," Scott said. "The last four-to-six weeks we've been really undermanned and we've been really impressed as a coaching group with the resilience of the guys that have been out there."
The Bulldogs sit 6-6 for the season so far and coach Luke Beveridge was proud of his players as they head into the bye before returning against Greater Western Sydney.
"They were pretty good in the clinches early and we took a backward step from what we'd been producing in that early part of the game," Beveridge said.
"I was really proud of the boys after that and the way that they dug in and we played some pretty good footy without capitalising."
