The Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly in "ongoing" talks with free agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, whose window of opportunity to return with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have just closed.
The Raiders, 6/1 to win an intensely competitive AFC West, now look to be in pole position to close out a deal with the five-time Pro Bowler.
Suh attracting interest
As with many free agent deals already done in this offseason, the domino affect of the Bucs landing former Chicago Bears defensive tackle Akiem Hicks on a one-year, $10million deal, looks like it could send Suh the Raiders' way.
Brad Stainbrook of 24/7 Sports reported on Monday that the Raiders were still keen on Suh - with the Bucs apparently waiting for his other options to die down before getting serious about re-signing him and the Cleveland Browns backing off completely.

Raiders eager to build on strong foundation

The team have already slotted some veteran pieces in alongside Pro Bowl defensive end Maxx Crosby, who signed a multi-year extension with $53million guaranteed back in March.
They brought in Bilal Nichols, a 6'4' and 302lbs defensive tackle, during the early part of free agency after he recorded a career-high 51 tackles and two fumble recoveries in his fourth and final season with the Bears.
Linebacker Chandler Jones, a former two-time All Pro selection, also hopped over the state line to Vegas from the Arizona Cardinals to add another frightening dimension to the Raiders pass rush.
Even at the age of 35, Suh is still a dominant force in the NFL, recording six sacks last season and 12 over the past two seasons in Tampa.
