Over the years, the Canadian Football League and National Football League have had plenty of players to make the crossover and play in both leagues.

One of the best players to play in the CFL was Warren Moon. Moon began his professional career in the CFL in 1978 when he played quarterback for the Edmonton Eskimos. Over the course of his six-year CFL career, Moon threw for 21,228 yards and 144 touchdowns. He also led the Eskimos to five consecutive Grey Cups (CFL Championship).
In 1984, Moon began his NFL career with the Houston Oilers. In his 17-year NFL career, Moon threw for 49,325 passing yards and 291 touchdown passes.
Another one of the best players to play in the CFL is Doug Flutie. He began his pro career in the USFL with the New Jersey Generals before moving to the NFL to play for the Chicago Bears. Over the course of his 10-year NFL career, he played for four different NFL teams.
Between 1990 to 1997, Flutie played in the CFL with the BC Lions, Calgary Stampeders, and Toronto Argonauts. He won three Grey Cups.
Jorn Horn had a prominent career in the NFL, playing for the Kansas City Chiefs, New Orleans Saints, and Atlanta Falcons. He had over 8,000 receiving yards and 76 touchdowns. Horn only played one season in the CFL in 1995, where he had 1,415 receiving yards.
Joe Theismann played in three CFL seasons, where he threw for over 6,000 yards. From 1974 to 1985, he played for the Washington Redskins, where he won one Super Bowl and threw for over 25,000 passing yards and 160 touchdowns.
Cameron Wake played in the CFL from 2007 to 2008. Over this time period, he had 39 sacks, including 23 in 2008. In the NFL from 2009 to 2019, Wake had sacks with the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans.
Mike Vanderjagt is one of the best kickers to play in the CFL. He played in the CFL from 1993-1994 and 1996-1997. During this time, he won the Grey Cup twice and made 112 of his 150 field goals. From 1998 to 2006, he played in the NFL and in his career, he made 230 of his 266 field goal attempts.
Jeff Garcia began his professional football career in the CFL with the Calgary Stampeders. From 1994 to 1998, he threw for over 16,442 yards and 111 touchdowns. He was named the Grey Cup MVP in 1998 and won the Grey Cup in the same season.
He moved over to the NFL in 1999 and in his NFL career, he threw for more than 25,000 yards and 161 touchdowns.
Andre Rison was selected in the 1989 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Rison played in the NFL until 2000 and ended his career with over 10,000 receiving yards and 84 touchdowns.
He went on to play in the CFL in 2004 with the Toronto Argonauts, who he helped win the Grey Cup the same year.
Meryvn Fernandez started his career in the CFL with the BC Lions from 1982 to 1986 and again in 1994. During his six-year career in the CFL, he had 6,690 receiving yards and 57 touchdown passes. He was also a two-time Grey Cup winner.
Fernandez played in the NFL from 1987 to 1992 with the Oakland Raiders. In his six-year NFL career, he had 3,764 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns.
Joe Kapp began his pro football career in 1959 with the Washington Redskins. The same year, he found himself in the CFL. He played in the CFL from 1959 to 1966. He won the Grey Cup in 1964 and threw for 22,725 yards and 136 touchdowns.
He then played in the NFL from 1967 to 1970 and won the Super Bowl in 1969.
