Star reinswoman Amanda Turnbull believes Lyrical Genius is getting better with every race as she chases more glory at Menangle on Saturday night.
Lyrical Genius is set to contest the TAB Regional Championships State Final at Tabcorp Park and Turnbull is feeling confident following an impressive win last start.
Special victory
Turnbull picked up another Group 1 win when guiding Lyrical Genius to an all-the-way win in the $100,000 TAB Regional Championships, Western Final.
It was an extra special win for Turnbull as the horse is owned by her mother and two good friends. And she was delighted that Lyrical Genius got the chance to prove his ability.

“It was a thrill for me to this win this race for mum, Pete and Beau,” Turnbull said. “This fella has been more than a handful from the outset, but thankfully his owners have been patient, allowing me the time to get him more tractable in his races.
“The ability has always been there, and I knew he had a feature race win in him.”
Tough assignment
Next up another big assignment is on the cards at Menangle. Lyrical Genius has drawn in gate three for the race and faces a tough challenge against Rocknroll Runa who has drawn on the inside in gate two.
It is not ideal but Turnbull is still confident her charge can get the job done.
“I am happy with the draw and feel Lyrical Genius is getting better with each run,” she added.
