Perth Glory owner Tony Sage has confirmed young defender Josh Rawlins could be playing his football for an unnamed Dutch side from the start of next season.
Glory are having a bad season and currently sit bottom of the A-League ladder and it could be Rawlins’ last season with the club.
Dutch interest
Rawlins has been one of the bright sparks in what has been a disappointing season for Glory.
The 17-year-old showed great potential last season but has taken his game to the next level in this campaign and his performances have caught the eye of teams in Europe.

It has now been revealed that an unnamed Dutch side are in the hunt for his signature and Sage says they will not stand in the player’s way if he wants to head overseas.
“You don’t stop anybody going, it’s a call that he’s likely to make but hasn’t made quite yet,” Sage told FTBL.
“No contracts have been signed but it’s a good offer and the club gets decently compensated. But there are still lots of things that need to be done.
“We’ve put up an enticing offer (for him to stay) one of the best in the country for a 17-year-old. But we won’t stop him - your dreams are your dreams.”
Tough decision
Sage says it could still be a tough decision for the youngster who will have to head to the Netherlands at such a young age.
“He has a decision to make and we wish him well if he decides to go and it would be fantastic if he decides to stay,” Sage added.
“It’s all in his head at the moment, he’s got to sit down with his parents. He’s a very good family guy. He might want to stay another year, who knows?”
