Evil Geniuses remain in contention for a spot in the first Dota Pro Circuit Major of the year after defeating 4Zoomers in Division One of the NA DPC League.
In Division Two of the NA DPC League, meanwhile, Team DogChamp are 1/8 to beat Team Magnus, who are 9/2 to prevail.
Evil Geniuses made a poor start to the NA DPC League this winter, losing matches to Black N Yellow and Wildcard Gaming but their latest victory means they now have a 3-2 win-loss record in the tournament.
Their clash with 4Zoomers was a must-win game with a defeat likely to have ended any hopes they had of making the first Major of 2022.
And there was added pressure going into the match with EG having made a recent roster change.

Vitality go international with roster changes
Before the encounter, the organization had confirmed Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko would be missing for the rest of the campaign with Arif "MSS" Anwar acting as the team's stand-in.
Fortunately for EG, it did not impact their performance as they took the first game after 35 minutes and went on to win 2-0.
The team have two games to go in Division One of the NA DPC with Quincy Crew and Undying next on their list.
It makes for an exciting finish to the NA DPC, although the remaining fixture dates have yet to be announced.
Prior to the game, EG had announced on Twitter the latest change to their roster. The account wrote: "Due to challenges stemming from travel and logistics, Arif "MSS" Anwar will be standing in for Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko for the remainder of the DPC NA Tour 1 regular season.
"We are extremely grateful for Arif's willingness and flexibility to temporarily step in on short notice."
