F1 Drivers' Championship Outright odds: Max Verstappen leads the way as he targets third title

Max Verstappen is continuing to dominate as he aims to complete a hat-trick of F1 title wins in 2023.

The Red Bull racer annihilated the competition last season, piling up a record number of wins (15) and points (454) to retain the Drivers' Championship he'd had to fight so hard to win in 2021.

Max Verstappen - Red Bull

Reigning champion Max Verstappen is the overwhelming favourite to win his third F1 Drivers' Championship in a row, and has made a commanding start to the 2023 campaign with five wins and two runners-up finishes in the first seven races.

Sergio Perez - Red Bull

Verstappen's Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez was deemed the most likely to challenge the Dutchman for the title this year, having won two of the first six races this season, but the Mexican looks to be playing for second with the rest of the field.

Fernando Alonso - Aston Martin

F1 veteran Fernando Alonso has already proven he has plenty left to offer in the sport by finishing in the top four in each of the first six races of the 2023 season, with an impressive Aston Martin car giving the legendary Spaniard the ability to challenge drivers from teams with greater resources.

It remains a tough ask to compete with the speed of the Red Bull car this season, however, with Verstappen and Perez enjoying a outstanding start to the campaign.

Lewis Hamilton - Mercedes

Seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton is desperate for a record-breaking eighth title which would see him surpass Michael Schumacher as the most decorated driver in the history of the sport, but his chances seem thin this year in a Mercedes car which appears off the pace of its main competitors.

Charles Leclerc - Ferrari

Runner-up to Verstappen in the final F1 standings last season, Charles Leclerc's 2023 campaign has got off to a poor start in his Ferrari having only secured one podium finish in the first six races of the season.

Leclerc will require a marked upturn in form in order to compete with Red Bull duo Verstappen and Perez.
