Esports: Dignitas backed for Worlds

League of Legend mid laner Ersin "Blue" Goren feels his team Dignitas can be a "top-three team" in the LCS and has backed them to reach the World Championship.

In their first match in LCS Spring, Dignitas are 8/13 to defeat Immortals, who can be backed at 6/5 to come out on top.

Expected to struggle, Dignitas were the surprise package at the recent LCS Lock In tournament, winning only one match in the group phase but recording a shock victory over 100 Thieves in the quarter-finals.

They fell at the next hurdle but a top-four finish was both impressive and unexpected given that new signing Vincent "Biofrost" Wang has not played competitively since the 2020 World Championship and new jungler Kim "River" Dong-woo lacked experience in the LCS.

There was plenty of negativity surrounding the team heading into the LCS Lock In but "Blue" is pleased with how the team defied expectations.

And the mid laner is confident they can go on to become one of the best sides in their region.

Fast start key for Dignitas

The LCS Spring Split is set to start this weekend, slightly later than other regions due to the LCS Lock In, and Dignitas will be hoping to start on the front foot.

Regarding his team's chances in future competitions, "Blue" said: "I want to go to Worlds with this team - I think we have really good potential as a team and everyone can see that.

"I think we improved really fast from the games we played against CLG and EG. We knew what to focus on, and the next day, we were way better.

"I think we're getting better everyday. I think, in the end, we can be a top-three team. I believe in us and everyone believes in everyone."
