NBA - US Sports: Curry expects to play in Game 4

Stephen Curry is confident he will be able to play in Game 4 of the NBA Finals series after taking a blow to the foot in Golden State's defeat to Boston Celtics in the third game.

The Celtics now lead the series 2-1 and they can be backed at 13/4 to claim a 4-1 series victory, while the Warriors are 19/10 to win the series.

Celtics refuse to look back

Boston claimed a 116-100 win in Game 3 on Wednesday in the first meeting at TD Garden.

The Celtics opened up an 11-point lead by the end of the first quarter and were never behind, with Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart combining for 77 points to lead the Celtics to victory.

Curry led the game in scoring with 31 points, including six three-pointers, and Klay Thompson had 25 and Andrew Wiggins managed 18, but the rest of the Warriors team struggled to make an impact.

Friday's Game 4 now looks like a must win game for the Dubs but they may be without Curry for the second game in Boston.

Curry confident he'll play

The two-time MVP sustained a foot injury when Celtics big man Al Horford landed on his leg in the fourth quarter during a scramble for a loose ball.

Curry was able to continue for a few minutes after the incident before being removed from the action.

Head coach Steve Kerr said the Warriors star will be assessed on Thursday, while Curry is confident he won't have to sit out as the Dubs bid to level the series again before Game 5 in San Francisco.

"I'll be all right," Curry said after Game 3, via CBS Sports. "I got caught underneath Al [Horford]. Obviously there'll be some pain, but I'll be alright.

"Figure out how it feels tomorrow and get ready for Friday. [It was] the same thing I did against Boston during the regular season, but not as bad."
