Season two of Europe's Global Offensive Champions League is in full swing with a handful of upper-bracket quarter-finals having taken place earlier in the week.
500 became the first side to book their place in the upper-bracket semi-finals on Monday courtesy of a 2-0 win over HONORIS, who consequently dropped down to the lower bracket.
On Tuesday, meanwhile, Tricked and ECLOT locked horns in another upper-bracket quarter-final with ECLOT prevailing 2-1 thanks to victories on Vertigo and Inferno either side of defeat on Ancient.
Tricked have therefore also fallen into the lower bracket, while ECLOT are waiting to find out who they will face in the upper-bracket semi-finals.
Their opponent will be determined by the winners of Wednesday's match between 00Prospects of Sweden and iG.International, otherwise known as Invictus.
Neither of the teams were involved in season one of the CS:GO Global Offensive Champions, which was won by 500 back in October following their Grand Final victory over ENTPRS.
Season two reaches its conclusion on Sunday with a best-of-five Grand Final with the tournament winners set to scoop $25,000 of the $50,000 prize pool.
What: 00Prospects vs iG.International, Global Offensive Champions
Where: Europe
When: 11.00 ET, Wednesday November 30th 2022
Odds: 00Prospects -225, iG.International +162
Neither of these teams are exactly big hitters on the CS:GO circuit, but 00Prospects have slightly more behind them going into this Global Offensive Champions upper-bracket quarter-final.
The Swedish side are 57th in the HLTV world CS:GO rankings, whereas iG.International are down in 83rd and are out of practice on the circuit.
It is no surprise, therefore, to see 00Prospects rated -225 to come out on top in this contest.
00Prospects also come into this event off the back of a fine showing in the recent Svenska Eliteserien Fall 2022, taking the title in Jonkoping with a 2-0 win over Young Ninjas in the final.
That performance at the Sveska Eliteserien Fall 2022 Finals means 00Prospects come into this tournament on a two-match winning streak and they are averaging just shy of a 62 per cent win rate in the last three months.
Neither of these sides have significant continental experience behind them heading into the Global Offensive Champions but 00Prospects at least enjoyed a decent showing in the recent WePlay Academy League.
In the event which featured the Academy sides of Natus Vincere, Fnatic, FURIA, MOUZ, Astralis, Spirit and Ninjas in Pyjamas among others, 00Prospects managed to squeeze out of Group B with a 7-5 win-loss record.
They then won their first game in the play-in stage against Fnatic but fell to defeat against Young Ninjas, missing out on a playoff berth as a result.
But that continental experience should stand them in good stead for season two of the Global Offensive Champions and their opening contest with iG.International.
Esports: Weekly preview - Call of Duty League returns
Having come out on top in the Svenska Eliteserien Fall 2022 Finals and series three of the Esport Tour 2022 since October, 00Prospects should be pleased with the form with which they are heading into their Global Offensive Champions.
And with that in mind, the -225 on offer for them to beat a potentially rusty iG.International side could represent value.
And while the Global Offensive Champions is far from the biggest event on the CS:GO circuit, there a few markets to bet in, with 00Prospects also worth consideration at -1.5 on the match handicap at +150, with two of their last three wins in all competitions settled by 2-0 scorelines.
Additionally, they have more recent match experience under their belts and should be fancied to make the faster start, so are worth backing at -175 to win the first map.
Thinking along the same lines, 00Prospects could be a value bet at -2.5 on the rounds handicap on map one at -125.
This fixture is the last of the four upper-bracket quarter-finals in season two of the Global Offensive Champions and the winners of the tie will be only two more wins away from making the event's Grand Final.
