With over half of the CFL season in the books, the Week 14 slate is set up to be a great one and we’ve provided a preview of all four matchups.
There are four intriguing games to look forward to, while the BC Lions enjoy a rest with a Bye Week.
What | Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ Ottawa Redblacks |
Where | TD Place, Ottawa |
When | 7:30PM ET, Friday September 8 |
How to watch | TSN, ESPN+ |
Odds | Hamilton Tiger-Cats +167, Ottawa Redblacks -192 |
They may not have the double-digit losses of the Edmonton Elks, but the Redblacks are on the struggle bus. Thankfully for them, they had last weekend off to rest, as they lost five straight prior to that.
Meanwhile, the Tiger-Cats have been the definition of inconsistency: They’ve averaged 29 points the last two weeks, but also lost to Elks 24-10 the game prior.
What | Montreal Alouettes @ Toronto Argonauts |
Where | BMO Field, Toronto |
When | 1PM ET, Saturday September 9 |
How to watch | TSN, ESPN+ |
Odds | Montreal Alouettes +425, Toronto Argonauts -550 |
Unsurprisingly, the Argonauts are the biggest favourites of Week 14, as they have the shortest odds to win the Grey Cup (+140) for back-to-back seasons.
Montreal is likely the only team in the East Division with a chance to catch Toronto, but the Argonauts are 5-0 at home this season and beat Montreal 35-27 on the road earlier this season.
What | Saskatchewan Roughriders @ Winnipeg Blue Bombers |
Where | IG Field, Winnipeg |
When | 4PM ET, Saturday, September 9 |
How to watch | TSN, ESPN+ |
Odds | Saskatchewan Roughriders +325, Winnipeg Blue Bombers -425 |
Close behind the Argonauts in terms of odds to win the Grey Cup is the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. They too get to play at home in Week 14 to show off their incredible offense.
Their 374 points scored are easily the most in the CFL, while the Roughriders have allowed the third-most points.
Despite all that, this is a revenge game for the Blue Bombers, as they were upset in overtime against Saskatchewan just last weekend.
What | Calgary Stampeders @ Edmonton Elks |
Where | Commonwealth Stadium, Edmonton |
When | 7:30PM ET, Saturday September 9 |
How to watch | TSN, ESPN+ |
Odds | Calgary Stampeders +110, Edmonton Elks -130 |
The finale of Week 14 is a matchup between the two teams at the bottom of the West Division. They have a combined record of just 6-18, so there aren’t exactly playoff implications.
Similarly, with two struggling teams, it’s set to be the closest game of the weekend.
When these teams met just last weekend it was a close 35-31 Stampeders win, so we should at least be in for an exciting matchup.
