Brisbane Broncos winger Corey Oates has put all talk about his future on hold while he focuses on playing his best footy in the 2022 NRL campaign.
The Broncos are priced at 17/20 to make the top eight this season and have made great strides under the leadership of Kevin Walters in the new campaign.
Oates has been a revelation for the Broncos after spending most of last season playing in the Queensland Cup, and it is no surprise that speculation is emerging regards his future.
The Dolphins have been mentioned as one of the clubs who will attempt to lure Oates away but it looks as though he is keen on staying with the Broncos.

Whatever happens though Oates says he just wants to stay focused on his game and all talks with his manager are on hold.
“I’ve told him whatever I’ve got [lined up] to not tell me, I just want to keep playing,” Oates said. “I haven’t seen or spoken to him, I’m not lying. It’s just better for me, it keeps me focused on playing.
“When it comes time he’ll give me the heads up. I’ve been in the position before. The contract stuff will look after itself if I keep performing, I guess.”
Oates already has seven tries to his name this season and says he is feeling fitter than ever before.
“I am probably close to the fittest I’ve been my whole career,” Oates told reporters. “If I keep competing and keep building on each performance each week, then who knows what could happen.”
