Brisbane new boy Kurt Capewell says the Broncos are ready to rip ahead of the NRL round one clash against the Sydney Roosters.
The Broncos are priced at 7/4 to finish in the top eight of the NRL and play finals this season and expectations have moved up a notch following some high-profile arrivals in the off-season
Capewell is set to make his debut for the club against the Roosters and he could captain the Broncos if Adam Reynolds misses out through sickness.
Brisbane's form has not been the greatest in pre-season, but Capewell is not reading into it too much and says they are well prepared and fired up for the first game.

Flegler excited for Broncos future
"I've never been one to read into trial form, we can't help what they say, only what we can do," Capewell told reporters. "And we're ready to rip.
"They've (Walters and Kelly) done just as much work in the pre-season (together), they know all the plays and are more than capable of slipping straight in.
"(Isaako) has played a fair big of fullback, knows the role well and the boys respond well to him because of how vocal he is."
Capewell says it is has always been a dream to captain a side in the NRL and is ready to grab the opportunity with both hands should Reynolds miss out.
"I'm not a massive talker though, hoping to lead with my actions," he added. "To work your way up and learn all the little stuff along the way and finally be regarded as a leader, it does mean a lot.
"It'd be amazing, to do it while Reyno's not here, it'd be an awesome opportunity."
