Counter Strike: Global Offensive side BIG have confirmed that legend of the Esport Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel is joining the organization as Chief Operating Officer for the new season.
In the CS:GO FUNSPARK ULTI, meanwhile, BIG are 13/8 to beat Fnatic, who can be backed at 4/9 to win.
"Blizzard" will play a key role in shaping organization BIG, otherwise known as Berlin International Gaming and will be hoping to draw on his experiences as a player.
Blizzard enjoyed playing success
Playing in Counter Strike 1.6, he can count nine ESL Pro Championships, as well as the 2005 CPL Spain among the accolades he won throughout his career.
The German spent the bulk of his career with mousesports in two separate stints, before retiring back in 2010.
Since leaving the Esport, he has been involved in economic engineering and will return to Counter Strike in a new role altogether.

His new organization have plenty of work to do after having placed fifth out of six teams in their section in the ESL Pro League season 14 last year, losing three of their five group matches.
But they have been making changes at the top with former Counter Striker player Roman "Roman R" Reinhardt also having joined as chief of CS:GO prior to the arrival of "Blizzard".

Speaking about his new position, "Blizzard" said: "I am delighted to have found my way back into Esports. Things that belong together are now coming together again!
