Captain Patrice Bergeron praised the growth he's seen in the Boston Bruins after they won a fourth straight game, 6-3 against the New York Islanders on Saturday.
The Bruins, 16/1 to win the Stanley Cup in 2021/22, have gone 14-2-1 in their past 17 games and moved up to second in the Atlantic Division.

Bergeron had an assist against the Islanders in what was his 1,200th NHL regular season game, the third player to reach that number with the Bruins.

This season, his 18th with Boston, the 36-year-old has scored 46 points (17 goals, 29 assists) and is a strong candidate to win the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the NHL's best defensive forward for a fifth time.
Drafted in the second round of the 2003 draft by the Bruins, Bergeron has amassed 963 points (392 goals, 572 assists) in the NHL regular season and 120 points (46 goals, 74 assists) in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

In 2010/11 he lifted the Stanley Cup with Boston and has since helped them to the Final twice in 2013 and 2019.
Bergeron said to the media after the win over the Islanders: "I think everyone is playing the right way and communicating. I've said it a few times, but I can see the growth in our team, the way that we're playing.
"Guys owning roles and playing the right way, doing it for the right reasons, obviously to win and help the team. It's great to see."
