Canadian Leylah Fernandez finished runner-up to Emma Raducanu at the 2021 US Open, and Bianca Andreescu won the 2019 edition.
On the men's side, there hasn't been much to write home about for Canadians recently.
This year brings another chance to change that trend, with the caveat that Canadian Denis Shapovalov, No. 26 in the World rankings, will miss the US Open as he continues to deal with a knee issue he reaggravated at Wimbledon.
Here are the odds for Canadian players at the US Open.
Bianca Andreescu (+5000)
The No. 51-ranked women's player in the world has the 20th-shortest odds to win the US Open, making her a longshot to repeat what she did in 2019 when she beat Serena Williams in the final.
Andreescu's win-loss record is 15-16 this year. She most recently fell in the round of 64 at her home nation's National Bank Open to 52nd-ranked Camila Giorgi.
Leylah Fernandez (+8000)
Fernandez won two matches, including one against 12th-ranked Beatriz Haddad Maia, at the National Bank Open in her home country, but she still has longer odds than Andreescu to take home the 2023 US Open trophy.
In her run to the final at the 2021 US Open, she beat then-fifth-ranked Elina Svitolina and then-second-ranked Aryna Sabalenka.
Fernandez has the potential to cause upsets, but she'll need to put a string of them together to make a run in this tournament.
Felix Auger-Aliassime (+5000)
Auger-Aliassime, the No. 15 player in the world, has the 14th best odds to win the men's version 2023 US Open.
He will need to turn his form around to come close to the final: he has a 14-14 record this year and lost in the first round in four straight tournaments in the past three months.
He finally got a win in his last tournament, the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati, before he lost in the next round.
Milos Raonic (+15000)
Raonic is an outsider to win the tournament, but his experience on the tour is nearly unmatched.
He claimed a statement win at the National Bank Open, where he beat No. 10-ranked Frances Tiafoe.
At 4-3 on the year, Raonic should come into the tournament confident and well-rested.
